September Fishing Report

becky28053

The river fish and hatches are still holding up this week. However you can tell that fall is in the air. The browns are starting to sport their beautiful spawning colors. And the pre spawn behavior of leaping out of the water is an exciting part of the river experience right now. The flies of choice in the morning are size #22 olive zebras midges with a tungsten bead. In the afternoon when the Blue wings start hatching put on a size #22 BWO split back also with a tungsten bead . The fall feeling days are exceptional comfortable and the fishing can’t get much better. Sight fishing for larger trout is so fun and very productive right now. Please if you are coming to visit help us by picking up any trash you see in or out of the river. Until next time.

Tight lines
