and Lead Guide

IMG_8995.heic

Brad Abbott has been fly fishing since 1973 when his dad placed a 4wt Fenwick in his hand. Since then he has cast lines all through the west, down to the blue water of the Sea of Cortez and up into the wilds of Alaska.

During all that time he has fine tuned his craft by becoming a rod builder, fly tier, casting instructor and entomologist. Brad also has over 13 years of guiding experience on the Salmon and Snake Rivers of Idaho. His knowledge of the biology and geology of the Owyhee make a day fishing with him an enlightening experience. His detailed knowledge of the aquatic and terrestrial insects is invaluable to having a successful day on the Owyhee.

Brad is a teacher and coach at Rocky Mountain High School in Meridian, Idaho. He teaches biology and life-time sports classes in fly fishing where students learn entomology, rod building, fly tying, knot tying and casting skills. As the Head Track coach at Rocky his boys and girls teams have won numerous state championships at the largest school classification.

Brad loves to fish the Owyhee and would love to show you this one of a kind fishery.
